Conversion Fees

The one time Conversion Franchise Fee is $22,500, which includes:

• Technical services visit and evaluation of conversion requirements
• Highlighted presence on KOA's web page, KOA.com
• Training for two at KOA-U (including airfare and hotel accommodations)
• KOA Grand Opening package, including
• Mix and match selection of KOA signage
• Uniform "gift certificate"
• KOA flag/pennants
• Registration rack(s)
• KOA registration and customer forms
• KOA merchandise (assortment)
• Frisbees, Cameras, Key Chains, litter bags, Playing Cards, Pens
• KOA manuals (Operations, Marketing, Image, etc.)

The initial site visit by a KOA staff member will be used to create a summary of items that will need to be accomplished in order to become a KOA. There are typically additional costs associated with the changes/additions etc. outlined on the summary; these costs will vary depending on the requirements to have your campground meet KOA standards.

Royalty and Advertising Fees

• Royalties and advertising fees are calculated only on camping registration fees
  • No fees are paid on store sales, propane, food service, or other non-camping revenue items.
  • Royalty fees are 8% of camping registrations
  • Advertising fees are 2% of camping registrations.
